Hannah Shaw

Principal

Hannah Shaw is committed to improving outcomes for children and families by partnering with government to advance strategies to strengthen social programs and service delivery.

Prior to joining Action Research, Hannah served as a Project Leader for the Government Performance Lab’s performance improvement work in New York City where she partnered with the Department of Homeless Services, the Administration for Children's Services and the Mayor's Office for Economic Opportunity to strengthen social services to improve outcomes for vulnerable New Y​orkers. She has also managed evaluations of violence prevention programs at Crime Lab New York, and supported mayoral initiatives to alleviate poverty and reduce youth violence in Philadelphia. Hannah previously worked on federal poverty, budget, and tax policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and the Senate Finance Committee. She holds a MPA from Princeton University and a BA in Economics and History from Tufts University.
